Oils For Everything – Welcoming 2017

You know when they say there is an oil for everything, there is an oil for everything. That includes for the vision you want to create for the upcoming year. Emotional release or transforming oils are a big part of my day to day routine. I, especially love them probably because I am a therapist and see the impact of it on my clients when they use it in my office or when I use it on myself.

A few days ago, my husband and I decided to do something different on our bi-monthly date night. These date nights have been wonderful for our relationship as it gives us time to reevaluate what needs attention in our life. Yesterday, we decided that we needed to do a Vision Board for our life – individually and together. To do that, we started to write down the different categories in our lives that will need attention especially with a new baby coming. Setting a foundation for inviting something different is such an important piece of growth and development.

So, we started talking about our goals, vision and dreams for our lives in 2017. It was so much fun dreaming together. Ofcourse, we had to start by applying Envision EO, a blend that Young Living makes before we started.

We divided up our life into 6 categories inspired by Oola. Our categories were Family, Career, Finance, Spirituality, Health and Fun. It is definitely going to be an ongoing process but dreaming together as a couple is such an important aspect of growth.

Don’t they say that dreaming is the first step to achieving your goal. When your vision feels impossible to achieve, that is when you know you are on to something. I love that.

When ever I use an oil, I always set an intention for what I am using it for. I love applying Abundance every day and setting an intention for abundance in all areas in our lives. Surrender and Gratitude go hand in hand. Life without gratefulness is meaningless. I will often apply Surrender and Gratitude to my heart center.

Magnify Your Purpose is a good one to apply on your third eye and brain stem and ask the universe to reveal your purpose in life. Everyone is born with gifts that the world can benefit from. Asking for guidance for something like that is very helpful.

Chemical Free Life

You are probably tired of hearing me asking everyone to read labels and to make sure you have a chemical free home. But I can’t help write about this especially because studies have shown that new born babies have up to 200 chemicals found in their umbilical cord. It starts that early and I am prepared to do anything I can do to spread the word of easily changing your home from chemical to non chemical.

The skin is the largest organ and some of the products that are used daily like washing machine detergent, hand soap, shampoo, soap if non toxic can create a build up of toxins in your body leading to diseases and illnesses in the long run.

One of the main reasons I am so diligent about this is because my husband is a cancer survivor and I want to make sure that we live a chemical free home ( as much as possible as it is hard to avoid absorbing all the toxins that we are constantly exposed to)

The one problem I had often run into was that the non toxic products would not work well and I had to use a LOT of the product to get the clean. That was till I found all the non toxic products from Young Living 😆 And it works well for such a small amount of usage. You have to experience it to believe it. Now, we have replaced all the household products including soaps , shampoos, household cleaners, hand soap etc with Young Living products so that we can live a toxin free life style.

You can make small changes in your home if you are overwhelmed about where to start. For instance, how many of you are aware of the chemicals present in dryer sheets. Yes, dryer sheets. I would highly encourage you all to ditch the dryer sheets in the dryer. It generally contains chemicals found to be hormone disrupters. Have you used the organic wool balls with lavender eo in your dryer? If you prefer to not use wool, just add a few drops of your favorite oil directly to the wet clothes in the dryer. So, simple actions like these can help support your family from being inundated with toxins.

Sole Hope Shoe Cutting Party

I am so excited to be hosting my first ever Sole Hope Shoe Cutting Party on Sunday. Sole Hope is an organization that caters to preventing foot borne diseases that can be easily prevented by wearing shoes that children don’t often have. It also has major social stigma associated with it making it hard to get help.

I first heard about Sole Hope from Jessica Gianelloni who is the Young Living leader that I signed up under was leading teams to Uganda every year and I would often see her posts about Sole Hope. When I attended my first Young Living convention 2.5 years ago, I heard about this once again as Young Living had decided to partner with Jessica to help support Sole Hope. You have heard me talk about Young Living’s Wellness, Purpose and Abundance often and Purpose is one of the reasons that I got attracted to YL. Projects like these are amazing and it makes it even better when you can participate in doing something.

Life totally got in the way since then and since I was not planning to go to Uganda to help out, it totally got put away until a few weeks ago when I heard about the Sole Hope Shoe Cutting Party.

Being 8 months pregnant, I knew that if I did not start something now, it would be hard to start something like this with a newborn. Hence, decided to host it now.

All it involves is participants showing with old jeans, scissors, and some plastic files. Using a template provided, we all cut pieces of the fabric, attach them with a pin and send it back with an optional donation of $10 per person. This will help them make the finished shoes. It is such a tangible way of giving back which does not involve money.

I am touched and thrilled at the response I have received from the community about this. I am delighted to say that 10 people which was my limit have decided to participate. I will post pictures from the event once it is over.

Throat Syrup

I recently came across this recipe for a Throat Syrup. As you can tell, I am hoarding up recipes and information for the Fall and Winter. I have seen that nipping things in the bud is often the best way to go, so having things like this handy often helps.

The potent combination of Thieves, Oregano and Frankincense along with Rosemary, Lemon and Peppermint is sure to nip things in the bud. Raw honey has its own immune boosting properties. I would highly recommend researching the benefits of each of the ingredients and trying this awesome recipe.

Looking For Non Toxic Effective Household Products?

The Thieves household cleaner has replaced all my cleaning supplies. I did a bunch of research on all the ingredients listed to make sure it was safe for our family. Having dealt with some severe health challenges for over 10 years and with my husband being a cancer survivor, I knew the impact chemicals had on our wellbeing. But I could not find any clean cleaners that were actually effective and I found myself spending a lot of money on so called ‘green cleaners’.

That was till I found Thieves Household Cleaner. I knew it was effective but it was actually mind blowing when my friend and fellow oiler Hailey Miranda Aliff did a science experiment with her 11 year old niece on this.

My 11 yr old niece and I are doing a school science fair project. We swabbed bathroom surfaces (YUCK!) and then swabbed the agar in the Petri dishes. We took 4 pieces of blotted paper – one was a control with nothing on it and the 3 others had different cleaning products: Lysol, Bleach, and Thieves Essential Oil.
If you don’t already own the entire Thieves Cleaning Line right this second, I suggest you go pitch the toxic cancer-causing cleaning products under your sink and replace it with God-made PURE PLANTS THAT WORK!!!!! Holla!!

I hope this has convinced you to ditch the chemicals in your home. Trust me, toxic chemicals create endocrine problems and with the skin being the largest organ, everything that you come in contact with will be absorbed by your body. Read your labels carefully on what you use inside your home especially if you have little children..
